Iris Ensemble is a chamber choir founded in 2007 dedicated to the study and performance of music
of all time which highlights the fresh quality of young voices.
Its members have gained experience as white voices in both concert and theatre
activities (Il Flauto magico at Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza, Incanto di Natale by Paolo Furlani at Teatro Sociale of Rovigo).
The group has given concerts on regional and national programmes (Rassegna di Musica sacra in Padua, Sienagiovani 2008 and 2009) and in 2009 they also sang as part of a choir of mixed voices in Schubert's Mass in G Major under the conduction of Giovanni Battista Rigon (Orchestra La Bottega Tartiniana).
The group also promotes cultural exchange activities with choirs of young people from other countries
(the United States, Canada, Switzerland).
The choir is conducted by Marina Malavasi with the piano accompaniment of Alessandro Kirschner,
author of original compositions and of arrangements for the ensemble.
